Beginning week 1 of the regular season, owners can acquire free agents off the waiver wire that were not drafted or won during auction (FAA). Using warbucks, owners will bid on free agents during the waiver wire period that begins Tuesday and awards players on Thursday. When you attempt to pick up a free agent on waivers, you will be asked to enter your bid, minimum bid is $1. Highest bidder wins the player and then he is automatically signed on for that entire season. There is a limit of TWO PLAYERS allowed to be acquired each week during the blind bidding period and/or free for all. Tie breaker for the blind bid is total points. Lowest total points gets the player if matching bids were placed on that same player.
Any player acquired during the regular season is signed through the remainder of the current season. You can use an ACE, 1st or 2nd base tag to protect any player won or acquired during free for all during regular season.
****NOTICE****You do not have to drop a player in order to acquire a player. If you do waive a player(s) to acquire a free agent on the waiver wire, you will be subject to cap penalties which include deduction of warbucks from your account (10 per year remaining on contracts).
